Their book is easy to get hold of here so if you want it and can't find it in NZ let me know and I can get you a copy. You can read an extract on amazon uk. I think their methods are now available through the NHS in the UK.

There are many other resources for working with / healing depression through meditation, some focussing directly on the depression, others more focussed on increasing happiness. If you're interested let me know and I can give you some links.

Buddhist forms of meditation and mindfulness practice are often used in therapeutic ways without any religious context, so if they interest you I don't think there would be a conflict with your personal beliefs / faith.

:-) EPuerhanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08694501881853398233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4650537255050876466.post-12641225695657215452008-10-11T19:53:00.000+13:002008-10-11T19:53:00.000+13:00hey Rebecca.... Without that bonding she and i would have been strangers. I do think for some mums it's vital to stick with it. for others it's better to give it up.

I was unable to breastfeed my son because of the meds i have to take for BPD. he and I have a strong bond and i love him more for the fact that I haven't always had to be the one for the 3am feed.

Go for what works for you! Shrinks are like all Drs - some right for you others not. If the relationship isn;t working from my experience it;s better to get a new one.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03796613556381197345noreply@blogger.com
